Who loves James Perse? Meee! I found a James Perse look alike dress for $48!! And, the best part is that it’s SO soft, also just like James Perse! One day at work last week, I ventured over to the junior department and found this gem. Don’t get me wrong, the majority of the items in the “junior” department don’t work for me because A) I am 35 and no longer a junior and B) Even if it fits, most of the time it’s just not appropriate. On occasion, however, there are things over there that are hidden treasures that work! This is the same faux leather jacket that I’ve featured in black. Blank NYC doesn’t disappoint with their faux leather! Any time I find something, I will always feature it because there has been some great fitting, fashion pieces for a super reasonable price, and we all love that!
As I have gotten a little older, my tastes have changed and I now go for quality over quantity. After you get a feel for well fitting, nicely made, quality pieces, it’s just down right hard to go back! Just sayin’ y’all. With that being said, I love to mix and match designer pieces with more affordable options. It’s what makes the art of styling so much fun to me! This outfit is an example of taking a reasonably priced, guilt free outfit and pairing it with a designer bag. I know I will have that bag forever, so I didn’t mind the splurge, but on the other hand, if I only wear the dress a few times or it gets a hole in it or whatever, I won’t feel bad at all! It’s a great summer dress that I’m sure I’ll wear a ton over the next several months because it’s about to get hot as you know what down here!
