My Upper Body Workout + The Best Sneakers Ever!

Since my foot injury a few weeks ago, I have been unable to do any cardio and very limited lower body workouts.  I decided not to give up and not work out at all, but to focus on what I CAN do!  Here is one upper body workout that I can do with an injury or without.  In case you missed my last fitness post…

…, I do 30 minutes of lifting and 30 minutes of cardio, which is usually the stair master.  This is a 30 minute workout of strength training that I’ve been doing for the last 6 months and use varying weights.

Upper Body:

Dumbbell chest press with twist – 3 sets x 12 reps

Military Press: 3 sets x 12 reps

Assisted Pull Ups: 3 sets x 12 reps

Low Row: 3 sets x 15 reps

Bar Curls: 2 sets x 12 reps

Tricep Extension: 2 sets x 12 reps

Dumbbell Lateral/Front Raises: 2 sets x 20 reps


In/Outs: 3 sets x 25 reps

Leg Raises: 2 sets x 25 reps

Scissors: 90 seconds

Plank: 90 seconds

Side Plank: 1 minute each side

Buying new workout clothes still keeps me motivated and excited to workout!  These leggings are super soft and comfy!  They have a lot of stretch and the waist band isn’t restricting at all.  My tank comes in a couple colors and I love that you can tie it up tighter and wear it shorter or loosen it and wear it on the longer side.  Be sure to scroll all the way down for size info and fit tips!

Size Info & Fit Tips:

I am wearing my true size in all items.  I have an XS in the top and leggings and a 6 in the shoes.  These shoes are a snug fit.  If you prefer a little room in your sneakers, I would recommend sizing up a half a size.  They are awesome for any type of workouts including running!  You could size down in the leggings since they have so much stretch.
