I ended up wearing this outfit for a fun date night on Monday night. As y’all know, I work retail, so my days off are Mondays and Tuesdays. Rewind to the week before when one of my girlfriends was raving about the lemon poppyseed pancakes at Oxford Exchange. Being the foodie that I am, I.could.not.get.them.off.my.mind. I had to go there for breakfast to try them out. That was such a cheat day for me, but it was so worth it! After breakfast, we went out and about running errands and then decided to go to Del Frisco’s for dinner. Another cheat meal ha!
Now back to fashion…I have been obsessed with off the shoulder and cold shoulder tops lately! I love the playfulness, and they’re perfect for a festive brunch or luncheon, or night out with the girls, or even a date night. You can wear them with shorts, pencil skirts, and jeans. If you like flares, that will work too!
I wanted to take this look from daytime glam straight to dinner, so I paired the top back to my fav skinnies by Frame Denim. The light color makes this look casual for daytime, but can also be dressed up for nighttime. My go to Valentino clutch that I’ve had for years was perfect for this look and for what I was doing. It’s large enough to hold a few things and can take you day to night in a flash! I’ve used this clutch for just about every occasion. No exaggeration there! It’s gone anywhere from brunch to black tie with me, and I’ve probably never been happier with a handbag purchase!
Anyways, the whole day ended up being a lot of fun, and my outfit from day to night was perfect. What day filled with awesome food isn’t fun?!
