As I was scrolling through Instagram last week, I saw a necklace on Sincerely Jules, who is this fashion blogger that I have followed for a while. She’s so cool and I love her style. I learned from tapping on her pic that she was wearing a necklace by this brand Dylanex, which was a little too hardcore for me, but it definitely caught my eye! I immediately went to their website and started looking at their jewelry, and came across the necklace I’m wearing. Let me just tell you that pictures don’t do these pieces justice. They’re soooo pretty in person! You could wear them with anything from a tee to a LBD and they would basically jazz up any ensemble in your closet.
Since Valentine’s Day is in just a few weeks, I wanted to give you some inspiration of a way to incorporate pink with your accessories. The color of this bag is so vibrant, and I love the size! Saint Laurent has done some incredible bags this season, so just a warning that you will see lots of them in upcoming posts.
Girls, always remember that your look is never complete without makeup. Cosmetics should compliment your outfit because it really can make or break your look. I started watching Jaclyn’s videos several years ago, and they’re still my go to resource for all of my makeup looks. I wanted to have one more pop of pink in my look, other than the bag, so I decided to use a lip pencil by NARS. The link is below, and it is my fav hot pink shade to wear of all time!
The rest of the outfit was really cozy with a slightly oversized sweater by Loma, one of my new favorite designers, and a pair of Topshop Leggings. For $38, these leggings are thick (aka not see through), and the waistband is high and stays in place…two key things to look for when buying leggings. Fashion Tip: DO NOT leave the dressing room without doing the bend over test. Even though, you’re not going to wear them as pants, as in with a short top, you still need to be sure that you can’t see through them. These Topshop ones are a prime example that you can get a good quality legging for a very reasonable price.
