Worth the Splurge!

After the micro, then comes the Nano.  For those of you who aren’t as familiar with Céline handbags, they offer three sizes in their luggage tote.  The largest is the Mini, one size smaller is the Micro, and the Nano is the tiniest of them all.  The Micro is my all time fav size for running around town as I’ve said before.  However, I also really looooveee the Nano, but it serves a completely different purpose.  Since it’s so tiny, it really only will hold a few cards, a lipgloss, keys and sunnies.  Like that’s it.  The leather cross body strap makes it a casual bag for running around during a time that you need or want to be hands free.  And it’s just so tiny and adorable, what’s not to love?!

Vests: Pointless or Purpose?

I was in awe this day walking down Meeting Street in Charleston and then onto the historic South Battery.  Every single home is worth stopping to see and peer in their gates to get a glimpse of the gardens.  I just couldn’t get enough!  I think we’re all guilty of this but, I had the incredible privilege of not only visiting Charleston almost every weekend for years, vacationing there and living there, and I’m the first to admit that I totally took it for granted!  I think it was large in part due to my age, which is why I couldn’t be bothered (insert eyes rolling) with all the beautiful architecture and history.  Let’s just say that I’m beyond thankful to have been given the opportunity to go back and soak it all in!

Céline Talk

This outfit was super comfy out and about walking around Charleston.  Tod’s shoes in general are sooooo comfortable, and these didn’t disappoint, especially for all the cobblestone streets around there!  I was warm and cozy with the poncho, and adding the hat was a fun accessory.  Even though it was a little windy outside and I was constantly holding onto the hat, I thought it still looked cute.  Maybe wearing a hat in the wind wasn’t the best idea?  Fashion first though, ha!  I absolutely love Rag & Bone hats.  They’re made really well and look good on so many people.

Cozy Camo

I think I have found the absolute softest cashmere sweaters EVER!  Nordstrom just started carrying this designer in stores recently, and gosh is it soft or what?!  I love the classic, yet modern styles that are effortless and feminine.  All of the Brochu Walker sweaters that I have tried on drape beautifully and are honestly hard to take off because they’re so soft and cozy!  This one that I’m wearing is a little sheer, so I put a cream cami on underneath for some extra coverage and warmth.

Elevation at it’s finest!

I was just talking with a customer the other day about how hard it is to find a cute and flattering, winter coat.  Especially the puffer ones.  They are all so bulky and most of the time make you look like the Michelin Man!  Nobody wants that.  When I found this Burberry one, I knew I had found the ONE!  It’s definitely fitted and has the elastic belt to cinch your waist in, and is really warm (prob the most important).  When something is fashionable and functional, it is a home run in my opinion.  I only had on a thin turtleneck underneath and was perfectly fine on this day in the mountains of North Carolina.  It’s been such a warm winter that I think most of us forgot what it was like to wear a coat.  This was the first day it was cold out, and that jacket was perfection!

Southern Charm

Charleston, South Carolina, how I love you so!  I love this town for so many reasons and have too many fond memories to share, but here are a few.  It is the epitome of southern charm; from the homes, to the food, to how insanely nice the people are there, this town holds a very special place in my heart.  I was lucky enough to live there briefly and visit often for many years.  The last time I was there was in 2008, and haven’t had a chance to go back until now.  It was even prettier than I remember!  I had such a great time walking around, looking at all of the most beautiful homes, eating at my fav spots, and seeing all of the new places that have popped up since the last time I was there.   It was definitely an incredible trip!

Begging for these boots!

Okay y’all, I just have to tell you how freaking BADLY I’ve wanted these booties!  I ordered them a few years ago and the sizing wasn’t right.  Like one pair was way too small and the next size was huge.  It was so weird!  And I think it was just me because nobody else that I talked to had this issue.  So strange.  Anyway, I finally decided to give them another try because I couldn’t ever stop thinking about them, and I was so excited when they worked out!  They also come with gold hardware, which I like, but I really love the silver.  I feel like I’ve seen the gold ones more often, so naturally I had to go for the silver.  Y’all know my obsession with black booties..I can never have enough.  It’s really a serious problem!  Black boots and any dessert.  Really.

Details, Details

I couldn’t leave New York City without doing an all black outfit.  It just wouldn’t be right!  There is something about wearing all black and feeling super fierce.  It’s an easy look to do, and I like to mix textures and patterns when I do this to keep it interesting.  That way, it’s not just a plain black outfit.  I loved the top because of the cutouts, and I’ve been trying to find it online for you guys, but it’s obviously sold out…boo!  It was such a great price, and I actually tried on a VERY similar one at Maje in Miami, but I actually liked the Zara one better and it was about $200 cheaper.  Gotta love that!

Sparkle and Shine!

Happy New Year friends!  I know I’ve worn these boots a million times already, but they’re probably my most favorite piece that I bought this season.  They’re definitely pricey for a pair of boots, but they go with so many outfits!  I felt like I could justify it because I wear them all the time and a ton of different ways with skirts, dresses, leather leggings, jeans, and shorts.  Hopefully you’ve seen some previous posts showing other ways to wear them if you’re considering making the purchase.  Price per wear, girls!
