Fall Trend Alert: Satin! (Luxe Top Under $50)

ag jeans ripped denim

Top: Lush| Necklace: BaubleBar | Denim: AG | Belt: Gucci; look for less here | Bracelets: Baublebar, David Yurman, David Yurman | Heels: Valentino (my exact color is no longer available, but this one would also be perfect!); similar look here

If you don’t have something satin in your closet this fall, I highly recommend you get something!  We’re seeing it in tops, dresses, pants and skirts, you name it!  This top is an easy investment that won’t break the bank for under $50, and it comes in 5 colors.  The yellow is also really pretty!  Makes me think of sunflowers, which I love in the fall.  The black is also equally fab and perfect for a date night top.  It runs TTS, but is supposed to be oversized.  The sleeves are long, but I love cuffing them up to show a little arm.  My denim runs TTS, as well as my pumps.  Some people size up in Valentino if you’re in between sizes, but I’m wearing my true size in these.  Thank you so much for reading and Happy Wednesday babes!  xoxo, Christian

New York Fashion Week Fall ’17

pink ruffle skirt express

I wore this outfit to a cocktail party Saturday night on the rooftop of La Terena in NYC.  To switch it up, I paired the body suit back home in Tampa with a black cami (linked it below) to make it more work appropriate.

Wow, where to even start!?!  First, let me start off by saying that NYFW was one for the books.  My fellow blogger and good friend Laura Beverlin and I went together, and it just so happened that it was the same time that Hurricane Irma was headed straight for Tampa.  It was such a whirlwind with trying to get there (not knowing if the flight was going to make it until basically the night before), and then being glued to the weather the entire time wondering what was going to happen and what we were going to come home to.  Trying to get home was another whole issue in itself, but I don’t think I’ve ever been so happy and relieved to be home!

Making Your Fall Basics Pop With 3 Easy Steps!

shirt dress chanel boy red

Dress: Bailey 44, also hereother sweater dresses I love here, herehere | Hat: Brixton | Booties: Steve Madden | Bag: Chanel; look for less here and here | Lips: Smashbox ‘Bang Bang’ (fav red!) | Earrings: Gorjana

With the fall months fast approaching, I love adding new things into my wardrobe and updating my basics with these easy tricks!  Black and white is classic and one of my go to looks always.  Here’s how you can update or add to any fall look!

1) Add a pop of red anywhere!  I love wearing a red lip in the fall and winter.  It’s always a classic year round, but it can also scream fall and holiday time!  You can also carry a red bag or wear a red shoe.  Stick to 2 pops of red, but no more than that.

2) Add a new bootie.  This year it’s all about white.  Since these are $129, you can try out this designer trend at a price that won’t break the bank.  I’ll keep posting looks with these, so stay tuned!

3) This is the time of year that I like to bring out my hats.  They’re the perfect accessory to any look!  You can also wear fedoras or floppy brim hats, but this one is definitely worth a try!

Fit Tips: My dress runs a little small; if you’re in between sizes, I would size up.  My booties run TTS.  Thank you so much for reading and Happy Thursday babes!  xoxo, Christian

Highlight of NYC: Top of The Rock

cropped sweater levis boyfriend jeans

Sweater: Topshop | Denim: Levi’s (obsessed!!) | Bag: Chanel; get the look for less here and here | Shoes: Gucci; designer dupe here and here ($26!) | Belt: Gucci; look for less here

Every time I’ve gone to NYC, I have wanted to go to the top of Rockefeller Center and see the city.  We purchased VIP tickets for about $70/pp and went straight up to the top without waiting in any lines.  I highly recommend doing this.  It was also super beneficial when we wanted to leave and didn’t have to wait to get back down.  So great!  Let me tell you it was worth every single penny.  The views were beyond stunning!!  Seeing the city at that altitude really took my breath away, and watching the sun set over the Hudson River was equally beautiful.  If you go to NYC, don’t put this off like I did for so long.  Just go and take it all in!

The weather was in the mid 70’s when we were there, aka PERFECT, so my outfit was just right for the slight chill when we were that high up.  I’m glad we went this time of year bc the weather was just too good!  My sweater is super soft and is cropped, so I would recommend wearing with high waisted denim.  I swear I haven’t taken these Levi’s off since this day.  Ha!  They are my favorite jeans at the moment, and fit so well!  Beware, they are like the old school denim (zero stretch in the fabric) and they don’t stretch out.  I would recommend sizing up in them if you’re in between sizes.  If you don’t have a pop of red for fall, definitely get one!  I can’t put my bag down!

Thank you so much for reading and Happy Tuesday babes!  xoxo, Christian

NYFW BaubleBar Party + Fall Trend Alert!

red lace up heels suede

Top: WAYF | Skirt: BlankNYC | Heels: Kristin Cavallari | Necklace: BaubleBar | Bracelet: BaubleBar (only $32!) | Bag: Chanel; get the look for less here (so similar!)

I wore this outfit to the BaubleBar party in NYC last Friday for Fashion Week.  Their room was so cute and was full of fun jewelry!!  Laura Beverlin (@laurabeverlin), Lindsey Lutz (@lifelutzurious) and I had so much fun eating every treat they had (donuts, cake, you name it!) and sipping on champagne.  It looks like Baublebar is going strong into spring with statement earrings and necklaces.  Think colorful tassels and metal tassels.  They are bringing back some longer style necklaces, so that you can layer with your shorter ones.

Another fall trend is red, red, and more red.  Think head to toe red or just a splash of red, honestly just whatever you’re comfortable with!  I loved these booties bc 1) they’re comfortable and 2) the straps have a minimal wire inside the suede, which makes them stay on your legs and makes the cutest, most perfect bow.  Yeah!!

My top and skirt run about a size small, if you’re in between sizes, I would recommend sizing up.  My shoes run TTS!  Thank you so much for reading and Happy Sunday loves!  xoxo, Christian

2 Wrap Dresses: Designer & The Look For Less!

steve madden booties

Dress: J.O.A. (under $90!) | Necklace: BaubleBar | Booties: Steve Madden | Bag: Chanel; similar here | Lip Combo: Smashbox ‘Safe Word’ Lipstick  & Lip Pencil

With NYFW coming to a close, I want to share all of my outfits that I wore while I was up there!  If you follow me on Instagram, you’ve probably already seen some of them, but I couldn’t resist sharing this outfit (scroll to the bottom) that I wore one day and then how to get the look for less.  Menswear is going to be a huge trend this fall with an emphasis on a casual luxe feel.  You can get this look with both dresses, and they both are such a similar cut.  Both are equally flattering and comfortable bc the tie at the waist hides just exactly what you want it to hide.  Love this!  The first look is more polished and luxe with the satin fabric (the price is really fab too!), and the second is a more casual street style look.  Leave a comment and tell me which one is your favorite!

Thank you so much for reading and Happy Thursday babes!  PS–I am so glad to be home and to know that everyone is safe and there was minimal damage done.  It really could have been so much worse.  My prayers go out to everyone affected by this as it’s been a tough week for many! xoxo, Christian

Off The Shoulder Pink Ruffle Top, Black Rips & Mules

black ripped denim

Top: Socialite (comes in 2 colors and under $50!) | Denim: Mott & Bow (obsessed with the fit of these) | Mules: BP (look so designer and under $100!) | Necklace: BaubleBar | Sunnies: Ray-Ban | Bag: Chanel Timeless Classic ‘Jumbo’ size in white; get the look for less here

As I sit here typing this, I cannot stop thinking about everyone in Tampa.  I planned on coming to NYFW a few weeks ago, so it just kind of worked out that I was out of town during the storm.  It really is so surreal to know all of the devastation happening at home while I’m out of town and feeling so helpless.  However, we’re all trying to enjoy New York City and have a good time by making the best out of a bad situation.  The weather has been insanely gorgeous up here and it has really felt like fall.  I’ve eaten at all of my fav NYC spots and I’m officially so full I can’t stand it!  We had dinner at Quality Meats, ABC Kitchen,  Mercer Kitchen and have indulged in bagel after bagel for breakfast.  Needless to say, I’m ready to get home, get back to working out and my diet, and to my beautiful city that I call home!

Fit Tips: My top runs TTS; if you’re in between sizes, you can size down in it. My denim is super flattering, but I would say runs a little small.  If you’re in between sizes, I would size up.  My mules are really comfy and look so designer!!  They run TTS.

Thank you so much for reading, and know that my Tampa friends and all of Florida are in my prayers.  I honestly can’t wait to get home.  xoxo, Christian

Graphic Tee & Flirty Skirt

topshop black flirty mini skirt

Tee: Comme Des Garcons | Skirt: Topshop (runs TTS; so comfy!) | Lips: Smashbox ‘Bang Bang’ | Sunnies: Ray-Ban | Sneakers: Common Projects (my go to!; they run big so size down a whole size)

A graphic tee and flirty skirt has totally been my jam lately!  Graphic tees and graphic t shirt dresses are going to be a big fall trend, so stay on the lookout for these!  CDG tees are one of the hottest graphic tees on the market right now.  I wear mine with skirts and jeans!  Be sure to size up bc they run small.  White sneakers are also a huge trend!  If you don’t own a pair, these are my favorites.  I got them earlier in the spring and have worn them a ton.  I keep them looking nice and bright white by lightly using a magic eraser on the soles about once every couple of months.  Lastly, a pop of red is a MUST this fall.  This lip has been my go to since last year.  It really is the perfect shade!

Thank you so much for reading and Happy Thursday babes!  I’ll be flying to NYC tomorrow for fashion week, but will be keeping all of my Florida peeps in my thoughts and prayers while I’m gone.  Stay safe everyone!  xoxo, Christian

Top: BP (under $30!) | Pants: available in stores by J.O.A.; get a similar look here by J.O.A. | Shoes: Stella McCartney; sold out, but get the exact look for $37!! | Necklace: BaubleBar | Bracelets: BaubleBar | Belt: Gucci | Earrings: Kendra Scott

With New York Fashion Week fast approaching, I couldn’t resist doing a post featuring all of the season’s hottest trends!  1) Ruffles everywhere and big, poufy shoulders are a must this season.  For only $29, this top is the perfect way to get the trend without breaking the bank.  I would also wear this top with cutoffs, skinnies, or tucked into flare denim.  2) Menswear inspired looks continue to have a huge influence this fall.  Think pinstripes, blazers, plaids, and wide leg pants!  3) Gucci’s influence is stronger than ever going into fall.  Alessandro Michele has taken Gucci to a whole new level, and I’m obsessed!  The belts are a fun way to wear this trend–I wear mine almost daily lol!  4) “Flatform” shoes will still be a must have this fall!  I’ve gotten so much wear out of mine.  I wear them with dresses, denim, straight leg and wide leg pants.

Thank you so much for reading and Happy Sunday babes!  Stay tuned for tons of more fall trends in the upcoming weeks!  xoxo, Christian
