For those of you don’t know, I am a personal stylist at Nordstrom and have done this job for over 10 years now. I LOVE fashion and knew that it was what I was born to do at a young age. I didn’t, however, realize that many years later it would have turned into the career that it has. I am so fortunate and blessed to go to work every day and really, truly love what I do. It’s honestly the most incredible thing! Like any other job, it can be stressful and requires a lot of juggling, but 99.9% of the time, I am incredibly happy to be at work and love working for Nordstrom.
While I’m at work, I style women, men and kids head to toe and work by appointment on a daily basis. Since the blog has really been all about me, I decided (with a nudge from a dear friend) to show you guys what will always be my inner passion and give you a glimpse into my life–styling others! I decided to take 2 women with very different body types and style them for New Years inspired looks. Depending on what you’re going to, I’m sure one of these looks will work for you!
For a sizing reference, Jackie (on the left) is 5’9″ and a size 10 and built very straight up and down. She’s not busty and narrow through the hips. She looks AMAZING in plunging necklines! She is also a professional makeup artist and can be found on Instagram @jackieriley12 If you need your makeup done, she is your girl!
Rachel is 5’4″ and a size 4. She has a tiny waist and is curvy on the bottom. She is FABULOUS in anything fitted that shows her waist! Rachel is a working mom and also has a blog www.lifescandyjar.com You can get so much more inspo from her!
We had the best time doing this and I hope this inspires many different women to feel confident in dressing right for their body type!
If you’d like me to style you, we have a way to do that at Nordstrom! We have a ‘Text To Buy’ Option that allows me to send you photos of items and you buy them via texting! If you’re interested, you can text me at 813-603-2472
Thank you so much for reading and Happy Wednesday!
