I hope y’all all had a fabulous Valentine’s weekend. I ended up being at home sick…with the flu…after my yellow lab swallowed an entire thick athletic sock whole. And then had to have emergency surgery. Yes, that was my Valentine’s weekend. I missed work all weekend, but got to be home with my sick baby. Things haven’t been good at the Buck place, so needless to say the pug has basically been running the show. What else is new, she always does haha! Anyway, we are all on the mend, and I’m just super thankful that he’s going to be okay. You can’t turn your head for one minute with him!
Now, back to fashion, this Rick Owens jacket is a dreammmmm! The style I’m wearing is one of his iconic jackets that he often does in calf leather. They are made to fit like a glove and be worn as a top, in my opinion because I don’t really know who is tiny enough to fit something underneath it. You could put a very thin tank or turtleneck under it depending on your climate (I’m wearing my Majestic tank). Honestly, his pieces are such showstoppers that you would want to wear them as a top and not ever take it off haha!
I paired the jacket with my all time FAV faux leather jeans. I love BLANKNYC! They make the best faux leather pieces that I’ve ever seen. And I swear that I get more compliments on these $98 pants (now on sale for $58.80) than almost anything else I own. They honestly look like authentic leather. With that being said, let me also say that they don’t wear like authentic leather, if you know what I mean, but they look amazing on and nobody can tell!
With this all black outfit, I had to put in a pop of color with the Givenchy Antigona, one of my all time favorite bags. If you read my other post (Watercolor Blues), you get it! I thought it would be fun to add a Fendi charm to it, so Karl Lagerfeld it was! These Karl charms came out in 2014 and have basically been waitlisted ever since Cara Delevingne carried it down the runway. Bag accessories are a huge trend right now. Try tying a scarf around one of the handles on yours for fun!
Lastly, I knew I wanted a super modern shoe with this look, so I went for the Jimmy Choo Abel in metallic silver. The Abel is one of their best selling styles and I loved the metallic silver version for this outfit.
