I went to Eddie V’s the other night with a girlfriend and wanted something fun to wear because we were sitting in the bar, but didn’t want to “over do it” either.  Nothing worse than showing up somewhere over or underdressed, right?!  I probably tend to err on the overdressed side, but that’s just me and I happen to LOVE dressing up.  Shocker, I know.  At the same time, I really enjoy my no makeup, beach, kayaking, super laid back, down to earth kind of days.  Those are the days that keep me grounded and keep my feet from floating off the ground.  I love having this balance in my life (yes, I’m a total Libra), and I wouldn’t have it any other way!

I chose this look because I wanted to be chic and polished at Eddie V’s.  The atmosphere in the bar area is pretty swanky (they always have live jazz music) and the food is to die for!  My friend and I both agreed that we could skip the meal and go straight to the butterscotch panna cotta ha!  I knew I wanted to wear jeans and a fun top with booties.  I liked this top because it’s fall inspired with the touches of leather and the darker colors like hunter green, navy, and black, and it has a sleeve.  I liked the sleeve on this top because I can also wear it to work..always a plus to be able to wear outfits for different occasions.  I could pair this top with a black or gray pencil skirt, and a black pump, and there you have a full business outfit.  I am a huge advocate for price per wear.  When purchasing items, be sure to think “how many times will I actually use this?”  If the answer is many times, then maybe it’s worth the splurge!  I hope you enjoy this look, and Happy Friday everyone!
