I’m not sure where and when these shorts with an overlay come from, but I am obsesseeeedd!  Living in Florida, you almost have to wear shorts pretty much year round, so I am loving this trend!  You get to stay cool by having shorts on, but also be dressed up with the look of a skirt.  Genius!  I took this outfit to Vegas and wore it out to dinner one night.  It’s such a fun and playful little number!  If you didn’t want to wear the shorts with it, you could pair the top back to high waisted flare denim or skinnies.  If you wanted a top with a little more length, you could always tuck in a fitted tank like this one and throw a leather jacket or denim jacket (I wear this one all the time!) over top of it.

Fit Tips:  Both the top and shorts run TTS.  The shoes run a little snug.  If you want to spend more on the shoes and get a more comfortable pair, I highly recommend these by Stuart Weitzman.
