Since our Florida weather has still been hovering in the upper 80’s, I finally got a taste of fall in New York last week, and I loved it! The leaves were gorgeous, there was a nip in the air and a cool breeze, and it was fabulous! I feel like I haven’t seen the leaves change colors in forever. That sounds so silly, but the simple things in life really are the best.
Naturally, I was ecstatic to pack for this trip because 1) I love dressing in layers 2) It’s New York City and you can wear whatever you want. And 3) The fashion and energy in the city is electric, and everyone feels it. NYC has always been one of my favorite places to visit and will forever have a special place in my heart.
On this day in particular, I did a ton of walking and these boots really stood the test of being comfortable. I was so cozy in this whole outfit and even got a little warm with the sweater on…imagine that! The layers I chose were perfect because the tie-dye top underneath was lightweight, but still had a short sleeve. I had some coverage and warmth on my legs with the boots, and didn’t even need a jacket. From a quick lunch, and of course frozen hot chocolate at Serendipity to walking all over Central Park, I was comfy all day!
Other ways to wear all three pieces: 1) Wear the tie-dye top with black ripped skinnies, a leather jacket, and same boots. 2) Wear the tie-dye top tucked in to a black pencil skirt to the office with a jacket, tights and booties. 3) Wear the leather skirt with basically any sweater or turtleneck. The color is so neutral, it practically goes with everything! 4) Wear the cropped sweater alone with high waisted jeans, trousers or a skirt for a modern twist.
