Edgy Meets Girly

First, let me start off by saying that my top is made by the designer Alexis, and I wish we carried it at Nordstrom (insert crying face).  She designs some of the most unique, feminine pieces that are just my style.  It’s sort of like edgy meets girly, and let me tell you that her lace is gorgeous!   The details are endless and they do not disappoint.  I also love that this designer appeals to women of many ages.  Some pieces are more on the youthful side, whereas others are classic and timeless with just a hint of modern edge.  This gal has got it down!

I wanted to take this feminine silk blouse (notice the lace, bows, and ruffles on the sleeves) and put it with an edgier pant, so I chose this moto jean.  The patches on the knees are faux leather, so that’s plus!  Now for the accessories.  I knew a necklace isn’t an option because of the neckline, and neither are bracelets because of the bows at the end of the sleeves.  It would all just be too busy.  I decided to go for a bold earring, and it was the right move!  The colors in the earrings were in line with the color scheme of the outfit, which was important because the rest of the outfit had plenty going on.  I wanted them to stand out, but not take away or clash with the rest of the look.

A black and silver bag was a must with this outfit.  I fell in love with this croc embossed Saint Laurent bag.  UGHHHH!  I love everything about it.  The croc for one, you can never go wrong with, and the size is awesome.  Saint Laurent has named this bag the Monogram, and they mostly offer it in the small size, which is honestly very small.  However, this size actually holds a few things…genius.  I wish they would make more of this one, you know, practically speaking ha!

The last touch on the outfit had to be my black Valentino pumps, which are part of their Noir collection (my fav!).  I absolutely love the hardware on this shoe because it’s gunmetal and more muted rather than the bright gold on the others.  I bought this shoe in the high heel, the mid heel and in the thong sandal.  I know it’s insane, but I have worn all three pair TO DEATH!    Not all at the same time though…I think I got one pair each year for the past 3 years.  So yes, totally reasonable.

Thank you so much for reading and sharing in my fashion addiction!

xo,

Christian
