Hey y’all!  After lots of pushes from my friends and customers (who are also some of my best friends!), I decided to finally pull the trigger and start this blog.  I am so excited to share my love of fashion and my closet with you guys, so cheers to new beginnings!

I spent the day in St. Petersburg, had lunch down by the water and strolled around to some vintage shops.  I knew I wanted to be casual chic on this day, and it was perfect because the weather was starting to cool off, and by that, I mean it’s now in the upper 80’s instead of the mid 90’s ha!  It was breezy out, so immediately I was dying to wear a scarf.  Florida weather can make it difficult to accessorize with layers!

I wanted to show this look because one of the biggest call outs I hear is that women want to be casual and chic at the same time.  I absolutely LOVE to be casual chic.   It is my ride or die.  If I could dress like this every day, I would.

Remember, casual chic doesn’t have to be over the top to be chic!  I took a very simple outfit consisting of a t shirt and ripped denim, threw on a scarf and put my hair in a pony to accent the scarf.  The key to this look is finding a great fitting t shirt that contours your body just the way you like it.  I am a huge fan of the “half tuck” look, which looks a little put together but messy at the same time.  In my opinion, an outfit isn’t complete without jewelry.  Earrings are so easy and always pop since they are right beside your face.  A hoop will do the job any day of the week.  I also grabbed a fun handbag.  I wanted red because I was wearing all neutrals and wanted my pop of color to be in my bag!  Lastly, a lace up wedge bootie was the way to go for a shoe.  Wedges are perfect for walking around during the day if you want some height and comfort at the same time.  The lace up look is playful and adds a fun detail.  Most importantly, a glass of wine with lunch made for such a fun day!

Cheers!

I’m so happy you started this! I have been following you on Instagram for a while and love everything that you do. Although, I must admit, I am not the most trendy person. I actually am obsessed with the 1930’s-1940’s style and try to fashion myself to that era without appearing costume like. If you have ideas for this style I would love to see them! Cheers to your success!!

Thank you so much for the comment and for following! That is so sweet of you! I love getting suggestions for new posts and will see what I can come up with. That is what individual style is all about..not necessarily being trendy, but having your own personal style. Keep it up!

      All the best,
