Channeling My Inner Carrie

Well, now I can die.  I had my Carrie Bradshaw moment walking down Perry Street and all around this neighborhood.  The West Village is adorable, and the owners of 66 Perry Street had their steps decorated to a T, of course!  I wanted to wear the perfect LBD and show a pop of color with none other than Manolo Blahnik’s.  I mean, let’s be real, it wouldn’t have been a true Carrie moment without Manolo’s!  I am OBSESSED with these green ones.  Y’all just have to see the color in person.  It’s beyond gorgeous!  The one that I’m wearing is called the BB Pump and was named after Brigitte Bardot and for the 50’s fashion of her time.  It is timeless, sophisticated, sexy, and is made in basically a million colors, so take your pic!

I chose to pair the rest of the look with the fuchsia Alexander McQueen clutch to complement the green pumps, and then match my lips to the exact color of the bag to tie it all in.  While the matching lips aren’t necessary at all, I thought it was fun for this ensemble!  There is SO much red this time of year, so I wanted to change it up a bit here with hot pink.

I also wanted to show you a more fall/winter appropriate way to wear it by putting black tights, booties, and a leather jacket with it.  I wore it to a friends birthday dinner the other night with the Stuart Weitzman ‘Highland’ boot, and it ended up being another fun way to wear this dress.

My favorite “Gifts for Her” this holiday season:

  1. Bond No. 9 New York ‘Astor Place’ Eau de Parfum ($220-$315)  Any of these scents would be a fantastic gift, but this one happens to be my favorite!  The bottles are so fun and colorful and make beautiful collectors pieces.
  2. Michele ‘Cape’ Topaz Dial Silicone Strap Watch ($345)  I love this watch for a versatile, everyday look.  The fact that it’s grey with gold gives it a two tone look, and the silicone strap adds a sporty feel.
  3. Bony Levy Pavé Diamond Initial Necklace ($495)  These initial necklaces are beautiful worn alone or layered with longer necklaces for an edgier look.  Regardless of how you wear it, this piece is a forever one.
  4. Lana Jewelry ‘Twist Hooked on Hoop’ Earrings ($695)  Y’all know I love Lana jewelry!  Each piece is delicate and super lightweight, and can be worn dressed up or down.  One of my favorite jewelry collections!
  5. MICHELE ‘Serein’ Diamond Two Tone Watch ($1895)  The cool thing about Michele watches is that you can change the bands to give the faces different looks.  I would initially buy it with the matching two tone bracelet band ($400).  You can always add a leather one like this to your collection later on ($180).
  6.  Valentino ‘Rockstud’ Leather Flap Clutch ($1695)   This Valentino clutch is perfect for day or night.  The wristlet option is such a convenient feature so you can be hands free if you need to.  You can also use in your tote as a wallet during the day and then pull it out and use as a clutch for nighttime!
